An eco friendly flower crown base, with very speci

An eco friendly flower crown base, with very special meaning, I made recently…
It’s made from she-oak branches, she-oak needles (leaves), waxed hemp string, a little glue and copper wire.
It’s designed to have flowers added to it for a bride’s wedding day. Her Grandmother has passed so won’t be there for her special day.
So I took inspiration from the First Nations Noongar peoples beliefs around She-oak. The Noongar people believe that she-oak has an ability to connect us to the spiritual world.
They believe that the sound of the breeze blowing through the leaves of she-oaks were the whispers of the spirits of the old ones and that when she- oak leaves fell onto their faces, these were healing tears from the ancestors. I think the idea of the she-oak leaves falling onto a bride’s face on her wedding day is a lovely sentiment for the bride whose Grandmother has passed and is not present for her special day.
